WCA SD President to appear on TV

President Jennie Bottoms will be appearing on public access TV, "Community Artist Connection" on September 2nd, 9:30 pm on Cox Cable channel 23 in San Diego and channel 18 in North County.

Tune in and find out what is going on with WCA San Diego, and more about the annual retreat scheduled for September 10-12 this year!

WCA SD Members Judge US Open Sand Castle Competition

Members of WCA San Diego will be judges for the sandcastle competition!

On Sunday AUGUST 8th, the 30th annual official U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition will be held. If you would like to be a judge there is still time to get trained and participate in this fun event. Its a day at the beach - watching as professional and amateur sand carving teams from throughtout the US compete for the more than $21,000 in cash prizes and the title of Master's Champion.

There will be festivities all weekend concluding when the sandcastle craver teams are presented with titles and cash prices presented at the Awards ceremonty on August 8th between 3 and 4 pm

Sandcastle building begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 2:00 p.m. Sculptures are only available for viewing until 4 pm due to the tides.
